What is Gitti?​

Gitti is a Git TUI (terminal user interface) that gives you a visualized Git interface directly inside your terminal. It helps you browse branches, commits, diffs, and files without leaving the keyboard.

A Git TUI (terminal interface) is a text-based UI that runs in your terminal but behaves more like an application than plain git commands. Instead of typing long commands, you navigate with keys and see Git data laid out visually.

How is Gitti different from normal Git commands?​

Can Gitti replace my graphical Git client?​

Uninstall & Cleanup​

macOS (Homebrew)​

# 1. Uninstall + remove ALL versions
brew uninstall --force gitti

# 2. Remove the tap

# 3. Delete the binary directly (in case it's not a symlink or brew missed it)
rm -f /opt/homebrew/bin/gitti
rm -f /usr/local/bin/gitti

# 4. Delete the entire Cellar folder for gitti (old kegs)

# 5. Delete any leftover symlinks

# 1. Uninstall the app (all versions)

Manual Installation (curl / powershell)​

macOS / Linux​

# Remove binary (if installed via curl)
sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/gitti

Windows​

Configuration Cleanup​

To completely remove Gitti's configuration files:
